Rolo Pretzel Bites {Easy and Delicious!}

Rolo Pretzel Bites - Incredibly easy and delicious!

I’m a big fan of fancy desserts.

BUT… there are times when you just need something quick, easy and still delicious!

That’s the kind of recipe I have for you today.

In fact, I have a hard time even calling it a “recipe”, when it only has three ingredients…

Rolo (store bought chocolate/caramel candies), pretzels and pecan halves.

Bottom line, if you just threw those three things in a bowl it would be pretty yummy!

Rolo Pretzel Bites - Incredibly easy and delicious!

For these tasty treats, all you have to do is lay the pretzels on a baking sheet (I used these cute square ones, but the mini twists would work too).  Top each pretzel with an unwrapped Rolo candy.

Bake in the oven at 250*F for 4-5 minutes (no longer).

When you remove them from the oven, the Rolo will still be in the same shape as when it went in the oven. Place a pecan half on top of the Rolo and press down a bit.

Top each of the Rolo with one pecan half.

Place the entire baking sheet in the freezer for about 5-7 minutes to allow the Rolo to cool.

Remove from freezer and enjoy! Or place in a container to enjoy later.  These will last several days- probably more, but they’ve never lasted that long in our house!

These are so delicious!  A great sweet-salty combo.

Rolo Pretzel Bites - Incredibly delicious and so easy to make!

Recipe source-  I recently discovered these when a friend made some for Scrapbooking night, but I think it’s an old recipe.  I imagine it’s from Rolo  =)

  1. I've been making these turtles for years. A helpful hint is to buy the Rolos at the checkout rather than the bag… then you don't have to spend half an hour unwrapping!

  2. Can I post to my blog? I love it! So simple!

  3. rowejones- You are welcome to use one photo and link back to me for the directions, but please do not simply post my photos and my text.

  4. These are so delish!! I made them last year for the first time!:)

  5. Oh these sounds very very good!

  6. hımmm this is calorie bomb but I dont care I want to eat:))

  7. This is a fun recipe. Rolos arent sold in Finland, but I think I can find something similar.

  8. These look yummy! I think too many rolos would make it to my mouth before making it onto the pretzels!

  9. Great idea! I love it. My daughter has a severe nut allergy so I don't even keep them in the house much. Do you think another preztel on top would work?

    Plan B

    • I would use a different candy…. a mini peanut butter cup, a kiss or any other mini that is sold in bags.

  10. I love these.. I was just in Virginia a couple weeks ago visiting my dad and he made these for me… They are so awesome!

  11. STOP IT those looks so good!

  12. So simple, but such a great idea! LOVE it!

  13. That is so clever! I must try it, soon!

  14. Awesome idea! Especially this time of year when we typically enteratin larger crowds. LOVE THIS.

  15. LOVE THESE! I have seen ones before with M&Ms; squished on top instead of pecans. My son is also allergic to nuts, so I use sixlets candy 🙂

  16. These look so impressive but quick and easy! Yum!

  17. These are so easy and fabulous! I am glad you reminded me of these! 🙂

  18. These look delicious! Btw I added you to my bloglist ads on my blog. I don't get to post much on your blog, but I love it!

  19. Can also use a hershey's Kiss (in place of a Rolo) and an m&m; in place of the pecan…these look fabulous.

  20. Making them right now (they are cooling) as the rain pours down and my 3 year old son who has been up since 5am (could not convince him that day light savings ment he needed to go back to bed) is running races in our small hallway 🙂

  21. These are actually a recipe from Our Best Bites.

  22. Oh, I LOVE these!!! Thanks for the reminder!

  23. Anonymous- I do like to give credit where it is due for recipes, but this recipe is much older than the Best Bites version. I got the reicpe from a friend, who found it in a family cookbook that is several years old.

  24. Great idea. Thanks for sharing.

  25. I was late discovering these little sweet bites too! A friend introduced them to me last year. SO good!

  26. I will try these! Sounds like a great delicious idea!

  27. These look great and remind me of these pretzle treats I made a couple of months ago:

  28. My daughter and her friends don't care for pecans so I use peanut M&Ms; for the tops.

  29. I've made these before — they are IMPOSSIBLE not to eat all in one sitting!

  30. I miss pretzels a lot. It has been a long time since I had some. I wonder why.

  31. I make sort of the same thing with a Hershey kiss and holiday colored M&Ms.; My preschool class loves them! This seems like a more grown up version!

  32. These look awesome! I would gobble up a whole bowl of these.

  33. Do you believe I just had my first Rolo recently? I'm in love!

  34. I've been making those for years too. They were 1 Weight Watcher point, not sure how much they are now. But they sure are good!

  35. I would love to make some of these for a Halloween treat could someone think of a saying or a name to put on a tag. Thank You

  36. What a fantastic idea!

  37. Oh hilarious! I had these at a potluck in October. They are fantastic.

  38. Can you make these ahead and freeze them to use in a couple weeks?

  40. For those allergic to nuts I use a m&m; on top.

  41. I found this idea originally on PInterest, then made them up with great results. I looked up a blog on google to link back to in my own blog. Your blog and recipe were the best choice. Good Job! Thanks, Kathy

  42. Made these today. They were awesome. Thanks for the recipe.

  43. Made a variation of these, very yummy! Thanks for the inspiration!!

  44. BUT… can you freeze them for a later date? Need to know asap! Thanks.
OH! The directions on the pkg of Rolos says to ‘cook’ pretzel/rolos in oven at 350, not 250. Doubt it makes any difference, just so they don’ t melt tooooo much!

  45. These sound delicious! My family are allergic to nuts so we put another pretzel on top of the chocolate and made it a sandwich! Feel free to take my daughters’ idea and use it for yourself or your families!

  46. Do you know if these can be frozen.

    • I’m not sure about freezing them, I’ve never tried it. They only take 10 minutes or so to make from start to finish, and will last several days (in a sealed container), so I’m not sure if there is any great need to stock up on them ahead of time.

  47. This time of year you can find round pretzels, which are perfect for this. 🙂
Also try Hershey hugs for this with an m&m!!
