Kitchen’s Closed – See you in 2016!

Merry Christmas friends!

What a busy, wonderful, crazy, stressful, fun, productive year this has been for my family!  I’m looking forward to enjoying a quiet week or so with my family over Christmas break, and I’m excited for what 2016 may hold!

The photo above is what my kitchen looks like right now!  We’ve embarked on a FULL kitchen remodel and I could not be more excited!  After living with a 1958 original kitchen for the past 13 years I’m ready for a kitchen from this century!  =)  As you can imagine from the photo, I won’t be doing much Christmas baking!  This remodel is our little Christmas break adventure!  We hope to have the project complete by mid- January.

So between my desire to have a little “down time” with my family over the next couple weeks, and my lack of Kitchen, it will be quiet on the blog here for a few weeks.  You can expect to see new and delicious things here on the blog around February 1st.

Until then, I have plenty of recipes and treats to keep you quite busy!

Here’s my most popular Christmas recipe ever, and for good reason!  –>  Hot Cocoa Cookies

  5. Happy Holidays and God Bless you on cooking, and doing a food blog in a very old kitchen! At 54 I finally have a double wall oven, now have no clue how I EVER lived without one! But, I still just complain that I still need the LARGEST fridge available to “normal”,working class people!! No clue what it is, maybe all the condiments? 2pond blocks of 6different cheeses? The 10 pounds of hand washed fresh salad veggies, (organic of course!). No room for the trifle am dying to make! Anyway, best wishes and enjoy!! Thanks for the recipes. We have enjoyed immensely! Your hard work is greatly enjoyed and appreciated!

  6. How exciting, I’m so happy for you! Can’t wait to see the end result!
